UW Madison provides two Learning Managements Systems – Desire2Learn, and Moodle. Moodle is a common LMS found in area schools, and provides flexible design options for instructors. Tools unique to Moodle include a wiki space for class use, and extended tools for group work and student collaboration. Desire2Learn continues to be a widely used LMS across the School of Education and brings the ability to post course content online, drop box folders for submitting assignments, discussion forums, and assignment based instructor feedback.
Catherine Stephens provides guidance and instructional design support for both Desire2Learn and Moodle; please contact Catherine to arrange a time to meet.
