MERIT Improves Remote IT Support Access

For many years, MERIT has made remote connections to computers to provide IT support using a tool called Bomgar. While the tool works great once you are connected, getting connected has sometimes been a challenge. To make this easier, effective Monday, December 14, MERIT is deploying a desktop icon for Bomgar, called a Bomgar Button.

For all new computers that we set up, an icon that looks like the MERIT logo with the title “MERIT remote IT help” will be installed. We will also push this button out to all Windows computers on our network. The Bomgar Button can manually be installed on Macintoshes.
